Elbow acts as hinge joining the three bones ulna, radius and humerus.
With the act of 4 muscle groups like triceps and biceps, the elbow can
be bent either upward or straightened out. Any strain on this joint causes
tissue damage due to the surrounding muscles and ligaments being affected.
The strength and support of the joint on the elbow is got from the ulnar
collateral ligament, radial collateral ligament and the muscles surrounding
it. The ulnar collateral ligament
present in the inner part of the joint has a powerful fan shaped compression
of the capsule
of the fibrous joint and controls the external mobility of the elbow joint
to s certain extent.
The radial collateral ligament situated on the external side of the joint
contains a strong fan shaped condensation of the fibrous joint capsule
and the elbow joint’s inward movement is controlled by it.
Bending of ht elbow and lifting of the shoulder is controlled by the biceps
muscle. A broad strong tendon connects this muscle to the bone over and
under the arm. The biceps muscle has two heads, the long and the short
head. If the biceps tendon is used continuously it gets inflamed and started
paining during use.
Bursa, a slippery sac in between the bones and the skin of the elbow tip
is flat and it helps the skin in that part to shift liberally over the
bone underneath. Olecranon Bursitis is a condition developed if this bursa
becomes inflamed due to prolonged movement.
If the muscles which bend the wrist is overused then the Golfer;s elbow
, an inflammatory disorder is found. The muscle tendons get inflamed due
to overuse. Golfer’s elbow is called as since it occurs commonly to people
who play Golf. Monotonous or tedious moving of the wrist also ends up
in this disease.
Another inflammatory disorder is Tennis Elbow. It happens while the muscles
extending to the wrist is taxed a lot. Muscle tendon gets inflamed and
swelling results. In turn pain and discomfort are caused at the outer
side of the elbow joint, due to inflammation
The elbow muscles need to the stretched and strengthened to improve from
injuries and avoid reoccurring. Elbow joints can be protected by doing
exercises of the triceps and biceps and increasing the strength of the
arm. Thus by doing exercises elbow injury is prevented and elbow joints
stabilized.
Elbow joint is a vital organ as it is used for various purposes like lifting
all objects. So it needs to be taken care of by doing exercises regularly.
All types of movements can be given to make it flexible and easy to move.

medicine to help cure from severe pain.
